Key Responsibilities: 1.Planning: Plan and maintain schedules and routes for vehicles and equipment.
2.Fleet Management: Manage the entire fleet of vehicles and equipment, including tracking usage, scheduling maintenance and overseeing repairs. Implement a system for tracking equipment location and availability.
3.Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, inspections and registrations.
4.Supervision: Supervise drivers and equipment operators, conduct periodic training. Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance issues.
5.Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards and company policies.
6.Fuel Management: Monitor fuel consumption and costs, implementing strategies to optimize fuel efficiency. Analyze fuel usage data to identify areas for improvement and potential cost savings.
7.Reporting: Prepare weekly reports on transportation costs, equipment utilization, maintenance and performance.
8.Equipment Outsourcing: Manage the process of outsourcing equipment as and when required, negotiating contracts with rental companies and ensuring equipment meets project standards.
9.Revenue Generation: Seek business opportunities for the company's fleet to maximize fleet utilization and revenue generation.
