The scholarship coordinator (SC)ensures the smooth operation of the scholarship and sponsorship programs at the Jane Goodall Insitute Tanzania. The SC is responsible for broadly advertising scholarship opportunities, organizing and supporting scholarship selection committees, coordinating scholarship awards and Monitoring, mentoring and supervising students progress at their place of study. Duties also include facilitating student's scholarship and sponsorship with their school/colleges or universities (second schools to high learning institutions). The SC is also responsible for preparing and facilitating fund disbursement for school fee, accomodations and other cost and maintaining the students database up uo to date. Finally the SC is also responsible for identifying and potentially establishing new scholarship funds, and working on proposal writing if needed. Follow-up on student attendance and performance at schools, organizing school visits and organizing annual meetings for students. Arrange for counseling sessions and provide advise on areas of study selection. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
