-Compiles and prepares periodic mineral production reports and advices the departmental Manager on technical adequacy.
-Develops training programs for usage and maintenance of equipment.
-Ensures that all employees work safely and in accordance with applicable legislation, company policy, standards, and procedures.
-Supervises and develops technical staff through coaching, training and performance review.
-Prepares reports and submit to manager.
-Performs statistical analysis.
-Monitors plant performance, identifying sources of variability and making recommendations for improvement.
-Maintains quality control programs within the plant and onsite laboratories.
-Prepares daily shift reports on Standard forms, record equipment failures.
-Assists in budget preparation and cost control for the Metallurgical Group.
-Conducts investigations, test work and technical projects to maintain performance or to identify opportunities to exceed targets.
-Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate supervisor.
-Performs other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
-Holder of BSc. Metallurgy or related field from recognized institution.
-He/She must have working experience in mining industry.
-He/She must be computer literate.
