The Lifting Superintendent will be responsible for the management and safety of all employees and contractors working on the construction site. They will ensures that safety regulations are adhered to and maintained at all times. This position will report directly to the Maintenance Manager to coordinate and suoervise all lifting activities and ensure that the ground conditions are safe for operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Management of Safety, Environment & Community Relations
-Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
-Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, environment, health and community.
-Ensure all cranes and lifting devices are in a safe working condition prior to use.
-Ensure all cranes and lifting devices are formally commissioned when arriving on site, this will also include sub-contractors.
-Development and implementation of a crane lift logbook.
-Ensure the upkeep and documentation is correct and accurate for all crane logbooks.
-Supervision and management of all crane operators and riggers, Including assisting with rosters and manning levels.
-Ensures all cranes and lifting devices are operated within their design parameters.
-Conduct crane and lifting device inspections for all machinery across the site: including sub-contractors.
-Quartery lifting equipment tagging, inspections and reporting.
-Ensure all operators and riggers are trained on how to complete inspections and pre-starts.
-Assist with the development of standards and registered JSA for repeat lifts.
-Assist with maintenance scheduling in conjunction with the maintenance planners/ Maintenance management.
-Order or re-order lifting equipment in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications/Experience
-Heavy Combination(HC) and Heavy Rigid(HR) truck licences.
-Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations (CPC32912)
-Intermediate rigging accreditation and a dogging licence.
-A minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
-Flexible and adaptable to rapid environmental changes.
-Positive attitude.

-Strong ethical and professional values.
