Job Description

The Guardian Limited Publishers of the leading Tanzania newspaper Guardian and Nipashe is looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the position of Graphic Designer.

The purpose of this Job holder is to create and develop communication material for the Guardian Limited and providing oversight on the execution of the communication elements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Successful candidates will be responsible for the following key result areas

To develop design based on clients requirements.
To insert advert main working files.
To do color separation and page proof before sent to pre-press.
As a member of News Room team of graphics, doing such other assignments as may be directed by your superior from time to time.
Ensure the final artwork is proof read for accuracy and quality.
To produce smoothly and timely camera ready pages for newspaper.
To adhere to duty roaster and completed tasks assigned by Head Graphics/Editors so that daily deadlines can be met accordance with the newspapers templates.
Ensure excellent drawing and making of charts, graphs, illustrations and other artwork intended for pages designed.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Academic; Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphic design or its equivalent from a recognized Institutions.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS IN.

Proficiency in adobe illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Adobe suite skills in video editing and motion graphics are an added advantage.
Experience; 2 years working experience
Excellent Analytical and Communication Skills.
