-Participates in feasibility studies of new mining projects.
-Prepares detailed mining engineering drawings.
-Identifies and recommends suitable mining methods and mining equipment or machinery.
-Ensuring that operations and equipment comply with health and safety requirements.
-Assesss the feasibility of new sites.
-Conducts investigations of mineral deposits and undertake evaluations in collaboration with geologists, other earth scientists and economists to determine whether the mineral deposits can be mined profitably.
-Develops individual objectives/targets and all performance standards as part of the individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior.
-Performs any other duties as may be assigned by immediate superior.
Minimum qualifications and Core competences
-Holder of BSc. Engineering in Mining or relevant discpline from a recognized institution.
-Demonstrated track record of integrity and honesty.
-He/She must be computer literate.
-Able to promote safe work practice at work place.
