Job Description

The Earthworks Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all earthworks activities for the Nyanzaga Project in Tanzania. This role ensures that earthmoving operations are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, schedules and environmental regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities
•Management of safety, Environment and Community Relations.
•Operations

Qualification/Experience 
•High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is advantageous.
•Valid International driver's license.
•Equipment operator certifications are beneficial.
•Years of experience in relevant position.
•Extensive experience in managing earthworks operations on construction sites.
•In-depth knowledge of earthmoving equipment, techniques and best practices.
•Strong leadership and team management skills.
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
•Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
•Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook and Excel)
•Familiarity with local regulations and community engagement practices in Tanzania.
•Experience with GPS and other advanced earthmoving technologies.
•Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes related to earthworks.
•Ability to operate various types of earthmoving equipment.

Reports to; Earthworks Manager 
Roster; 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off roster
