Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs and repairs equipment.
Reads blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Sets up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
Operates angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
Repairs machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
